Forma 5 Group acquieres the prestigious German seating brand Löffler

With this acquisition, the Andalusian business group strengthens its international expansion strategy, adding a leading manufacturer of task seating renowned for ergonomics, quality, and workplace health.

Forma 5 Group formally announces the acquisition of Löffler ERGO, the German manufacturer specializing in ergonomic and task seating with over 30 years of experience in the industry, based in the Bavarian region. This operation represents a decisive step in the Andalusian group’s international expansion strategy, initiated in 2004 and reinforced in recent years through the opening of showrooms in London, Paris, Riyadh, Barcelona, and Dubai, the creation of the esPattio brand, and the establishment of a branch in the United States. The incorporation of Löffler strengthens the group’s presence in Central Europe and reinforces its position in the global office furniture market.

Founded in 1992, Löffler has evolved from a local company into one of Germany’s leading manufacturers of ergonomic seating. Its renowned ERGO TOP mechanism, developed in collaboration with specialized ergonomics institutions, promotes active seating that strengthens muscles and improves user posture. Thanks to innovations of this kind, Löffler has received numerous awards for its contribution to workplace well-being and health. True to its motto “Furniture for life,” Löffler supports the quality of its products with guarantees that exceed industry standards. Throughout its history, the company has collaborated with renowned international designers such as Katsuhito Nishikawa, Werner Blaser, Margret Schriefers-Imhof, and Fritz Mocnik, all committed to achieving the balance between design, functionality, ergonomics, and well-being.

For Rubén Fernández, CEO of Forma 5 Group, the acquisition of Löffler ERGO “represents a giant leap in our international growth strategy. It is a brand with enormous potential, whose vision of furniture and ergonomics fully aligns with ours. We are confident that this partnership will generate significant synergies between both teams and allow us to strengthen our presence in the European Union’s strongest economy. With this acquisition, we take another step toward becoming an international benchmark in office and soft seating, consolidating strategic relationships, expanding our innovation capacity, and reinforcing our commitment to providing the market with solutions that meet the global demands of clients and international projects.

As part of the operation, the German manufacturer will continue to develop and produce its products at its facilities in Germany under the name Löffler ERGO, operating as an independent subsidiary of Forma 5 Group, maintaining its identity, production structure, and workforce. “The goal is to ensure a smooth transition while preserving the values that have made Löffler an admired brand: ergonomics, premium quality, and Made in Germany products. We aim to foster its growth through collaboration between the Hersbruck team and our team in Spain, promoting knowledge exchange, innovation, and industrial capabilities that strengthen the entire group, encouraging creativity and consolidating a model of excellence that serves as a reference in the international ergonomic and task furniture industry,” added Rubén Fernández.

The acquisition of Löffler ERGO marks the beginning of a new phase of international projection for Forma 5 Group. This strategic integration strengthens its position in the global task furniture market and consolidates its commitment to ergonomics, innovation, design, sustainability, and quality. In addition, it will enable the Andalusian group to grow in a solid and diversified manner, expanding its catalog with more advanced and customized solutions for architects, designers, and companies worldwide.
